In honor of Christmas in July, national nonprofit Operation Gratitude, in partnership with CSX, will assemble 7,500 Care Packages for U.S. troops.

Send a Care Package through Operation Gratitude to support and lift the spirits of our troops and first responders.

Operation Gratitude is a national organization that sends care packages to members of the military who are deployed around the globe.

Operation Gratitude and volunteers from the Charleston area worked together Monday at the Isle of Palms Exchange Club to build 300 Battalion Buddy bears for the children of deployed service members.

Volunteers will assemble 7,500 care packages for U.S. troops this month on behalf of CSX and national nonprofit Operation Gratitude. Also, Union Pacific (UP) Manager-Train Operations Nick Sahinen earns the railroad’s 2023 Chairman’s Environmental Award.
