    Volunteer Application

Complete the short application below to join the Virtual FOB and start supporting our nation's heroes.

    Why Volunteer with Operation Gratitude

For more than two decades, Operation Gratitude has given Americans a meaningful way to say thank you to the Military and First Responder communities. As a Virtual FOB volunteer, you become part of a nationwide movement creating tangible expressions of gratitude — letters, handmade items, paracord lanyards, and care package contributions — for Deployed Troops, Veterans, Military Families, Recruit Graduates, and First Responders.

Every volunteer plays a direct role in connecting communities to the heroes who serve them. Whether you have an hour a month or want to lead an Assembly Day in your town, there is a place for you here.

    Common Questions

Do I need military experience to volunteer?

No. Operation Gratitude welcomes volunteers from every walk of life. Our programs are designed so that anyone — civilians, students, families, veterans, and first responders — can participate.

How long until I hear back after applying?

Most applicants receive their Virtual FOB access details by email within a few business days. If you have not heard back after a week, please reach out to info@operationgratitude.com.

    Can I volunteer remotely?

Yes. Many Virtual FOB programs — including Letter Writing, Handmade with Love, and Paracord Lanyards — can be completed entirely from home. You can also organize community Assembly Days or Collection Drives in your own town.
